McNuggets

OMG Shah and I are so sanggup I tell you!

Last night I was telling her that I was craving for McNuggets! And today while I was annoying her some more about the nuggets she suddenly let out a gasp and I’m like, Okay no need so excited.

She pulled out those Macs game piece and she had one which allowed her to claim a free Fillet O Fish and we were both so excited and started clapping and so we decided to go to Macs for lunch today but when it reached lunchtime, it was raining super heavily!

Shah: Eh so how? Do you still wanna go Macs in the rain?

Me: I don’t mind, you?

Shah: Ya I also don’t mind!

So off we went OMG I felt so accomplished as we braved the elements! We took bus A1 to the central library stop but because it stopped on the central library side, we had to go one freaking long way just to cross the road!

We had to walk to take the central library lift, waited for about 2 lifts before we got on – since the central lib lift is so freakin small. Climbed like a batrillion steps and walked to the bridge to cross over and walked through the eternal maze that is the faculty of Engineering before we reached MACS! (OMG I feel so tired just typing that out!!)

Ya and macs was packed!! But we found a space nevertheless!! All that for glorious nuggets and fillet o fish! YAY processed meat!

I opened up my game pieces and I got a free apple pie but I really wasn’t in the mood for apple pie so I got a McFlurry and Shah got her hot fudge sundae!

We ate while walking the mega long way back to the busstop and I was getting a headache from eating and walking at the same time so we sat at a random bench in Engin to finish our ice cream!

It was then when a nyonya suddenly violently plops down on our bench thereby rattling it and Shah was shocked and she was all “OMG I thought *YOU* were shaking the bench” (in Malay, of course, we didn’t wanna hurt the nyonya’s feelings).

BUT THATS NOT ALL!

A few minutes later, while we were discussing internships, the nyonya FARTS! Like damn freaking loudly and it was those lonnngggg farts OMG!! (And her back was facing us!!!!!!! OMG EW)

So I looked at Shah and Shah looked at me and Shah was like “OMG AMY, WHAT DID SHE DO!?”

And I’m like “OMG WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT SHAH!!! SHE OBVIOUSLY FARTED!!!”

Shah was like “EH WAHLAU EH MACAM SIAK takde mood aku nak makan” while she proceeds to play with her ice cream.

HAHAHAH! Shah’s damn funny when she breaks out into minah mode.

So yah that’s the story of our Macs adventure and how we braved the elements and the nyonya who farted in our faces. We spent 1h 30 min for lunch.

Today was the last day of lab for my group so as usual photos to celebrate the last day!!

He’s seriously like the best TA ever! Super patient and super funny and nice and although he’s from China his English is awesome and totally comprehensible by the average human. And he’s the same age as I am, and already doing PhD omg.

A brand new day, a brand new lab report!

Its amazing how I get work done when my freaking table is so freaking messy all the freaking time. Seriously gave up tidying it because the tidiness will last for approximately 20h.

So I love Taylor Swift and I think she’s super talented for writing ALL her songs and funny and real and this video was featured on youtube today and its incredibly funny. Enjoy!

Yay for cereal!

Can you BELIEVE I’m STILL at my lab report which I started on SATURDAY!

Arghhhhhhhhh.

I’m just left with the introduction and we all know that is the hardest to write!

Pages/Numbers

Sucha lovely Saturday and I’m stuck in the science library writing lab reports. I’m with my 18 year old A level sister who’s in major geek out mode complete with her graphic calculator and heaps of GP readings!

Its my first time finally using Pages (mac version of Word) and Numbers (mac version of Excel) for real work and its quite a breeze actually.

It was a little bit strange at first because it is different from Word and Excel in certain areas especially formatting, but after a while it becomes very convenient because everything you want to edit like the font size, alignment, trendline for the graph and borders are ALL packed into this sidebar thing they call the inspector.

And when you select the values to plot on Numbers, it even highlights and tells you which is x and y, something that Excel doesn’t do.

Its quite awesome and I’m kind of loving it.

Ouh and Shah also placed an order for the Macbook pro! Yay we be apple friends!

OKAY UPDATE! I found a MAYYJAH flaw in Numbers. It doesn’t allow you to set the intercept of the trendline! I just spent the past hour finding out how to do that and Numbers doesn’t support that! When in Excel its as simple as checking a box!

GAHHHH.

Its true after all. Microsoft is better at spreadsheets!

Kampongz

Friday nights dinner with my sister is back! Its not like a glorious atas affair.

We just go to Al-Azhar for dinner on Friday nights because my parents have class at night and they usually go straight to class after work.

So I had fabulous Nasi Goreng Kampung today! So did my sister! Been wanting it for the longest time but we just haven’t had time to go to Al Azhar.

Today started out really weird because I woke up and had this feeling like I just talked to Ahmad but I wasn’t sure if I did in real life or I was just dreaming it.

So after asking Ahmad if he called me last night and stuff, I realised he DID in fact call me, but I was already asleep so it was abit hazy but I remember us carrying out a decent conversation on highly intellectual topics.

On top of that, I woke up having this strange craving for roe sushi. The orange one, not green or black. So specific right.

And on the bus (cheyy!) to school (I don’t mind taking bus TO school, I just HATE taking the bus back home! Its so packed and full of smelly people ew) anyway as I was saying, on the bus to school, Dazril smsed me saying that he was craving for sushi!!!

HOMGZ!!!

Its amazing, our wavelengths! Sometimes when the 3 of us go out to eat and we’re looking at the menu, I’ll be like “I feel like having the baked beef bolognese!” and he’ll be like “EH sibuk! I want that too!”

And sometimes its the other way round!

And Shah will be like “Ah ye la the two of you.” in ultimate exasperation.

I think that in a previous life Daz and I were siblings or something. (Of course I’m the more awesome one)

I don’t have this food thing with my sister but we say the same things in the exact same tone at the same time.

You and me could write a bad romance

The first time I ever heard Gaga’s new song ‘Bad Romance’ on radio I was like, OMG what on earth is wrong with this woman. Seriously, the first 5s was like, gibberish.

But after listening to it a few more times and singing it with my sister, I’m actually kind of liking it hahahahhaha.

Haha and I wiki-ed Gaga yesterday and she’s my age. While she’s walking around wearing cool things like orbits and wreaths on her freaking head and face, I’m stuck in lab collecting semen samples.

I’m not even kidding, the TA (he was such a cute little man) was like,

TA: Ok, after you are done with this, collect 15 mils of semen sample and filter then dry in the oven.

I was like SAY WHATTTTT and I looked at Huiyi my group mate and she was giving me that same bewildered look but like going to laugh like that and apparently the TA didn’t think he was saying anything wrong and I was looking around like WHERE on earth is this semen shizz which I wasn’t really sure I wanted to see.

Until I realised he meant CEMENT.

Like this other group was doing this calcium experiment and had like different types of CEMENT samples stirring in beakers.

Fishayy

Had grilled fish for dinner! (I initially wanted the traditional fish and chips but I’m into this whole watch what I put in my mouth thing where I try to go for healthier options where I can)

But its unexciting compared to what Ahmad had.

CHECK IT OUT COMPLETE WITH EYEBALLS AND FINS AND BONES YUCK.

Its exactly the kind of fish I DONT eat. I only eat fish that:

1) Has no shape of its living being (basically it CANNOT look like fish when its on my plate)

2) Has no bones whatsoever

So fillets and whatever else are perfecto pour moi.

I think the fish Ahmad had was a Barramundi and okok lah he chopped off a slab of flesh for me and it was quite nice.

Hehh hehh.

Oh and needless to say, we had an awesome evening out!

I was actually cringing at some parts.

THREE!

The first thing I do every morning is to go on gmail and check my email.

Because gmail comes with chat, usually Daz / Shah will be online so we will talk for extended periods of time.

So I was chatting with Dazril this morning and suddenly Rafiq added me on gmail chat. So I asked Dazril, omg did rafiq just get gmail for this? And Dazril said Rafiq doesn’t know gmail!!!!!

Oh rafiq!

So I sent Rafiq a hearty welcome message and to my ultimate surprise, we can group chat!

So awesome!!

Its a good start to my morning and it takes my mind off stuff.
